Impressions of Resident Sign Out Pre-Pilot [INFOGRAPHIC]

on January 8, 2013 Research with 0 comments

Prior to implementing the Smart Sign Out pilot study with the University at Buffalo, we set out to investigate resident impressions of the current sign out systems in place at the hospitals that they practice at. The sign out systems differ at each facility, ranging from web-based tools to spreadsheets or typed documents.

The survey was completely anonymous, and was administered electronically online. Survey responses were collected for approximately one month. The results from the initial research study are displayed below in the form of an interactive infographic. You can click on the different programs (Program A or Program B) and various statements to see how the two individual programs compare.

A second study will further evaluate the impressions of residents after using Smart Sign Out for six months.

Questions about the study can be directed to [email protected]. Additionally, we welcome your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
